The Temple of Ink

Temple of Ink is where lifelong artist Charlotte finds her home. Today the Temple is nestled in the HEAL studio in the heart of Montpelier, VT, where Charlotte works with Meredith of Shady Lady Tattoos to bring body art to the people. 

Temple of Ink is so named because of the haven that is the practice of tattoo. Through her time on this planet, Charlotte has always been called to art, and since 2021 her love of this practice has lead her to seek more knowledge around what it is to experience tattoos as healing. 

The choice in tattoos has a special significance; the first step of getting a tattoo is deciding you want one. In order to do that, you must notice something about yourself first. Maybe you have noticed that you like sick ass tattoos and want more. Maybe you have noticed that you’ve accomplished something, and you want to commemorate that. Maybe you are feeling the depths of wild grief and need something to change. Maybe you have always loved a certain flower. Do you have a shared nostalgic show with your sibling, do you always brighten at the sight of daisies, is your dog the truest love you’ve ever known? The reasons people seek tattoos are endless.
